Nextbank is a company that offers cloud banking services to 30 banks in Southeast Asia. In just 5 years, Nextbank, with the support of Miquido, including the flagship mobile banking application developed in Flutter, has successfully revolutionized the finance industry in the Philippines.

Challenge
Nextbank requested a new version of mobile banking app that would meet the needs of a diverse group of users and devices. Knowing that the white label application interface will play a huge role in the sales process, our client was looking for a minimalistic, functional design.
Solution
We initiated the project by building the design system. We used minimalist UI elements and bright colours: white and blue for the default theme. Building this design system allowed our client to maintain a consistent and cohesive visual identity while enhancing efficiency for designers and developers when creating new products and features.
My role
I was involved in the project from the very beginning as a Lead Designer.
My responsibilities included:
collaborating with a team based in the Philippines
gathering requirements
desk research
working closely with product managers, designers and developers
creating flows, wireframes, designs
participating in Refinement meetings to discuss functionality
creating Design system
attending Design reviews with the entire team, presenting our work and collecting feedback
checking final apps, reporting issues
reviewing the designs of other designers
